4th of July and more

South Sandstone Reservior
A few week ago we headed out to find something new to explore. Someone recently set a charcoal grill by the dumpster so we grabbed that and some dogs and had us a picnic!

Getting as close as possible to the water so they could "fish".

A very pretty reservoir but no trees in site!

Big Sky Country!
The splash pad
Easily one of the children's favorite places in town! It's clean, cool and fun.

Notice, Emily has a new friend already. She has friends from the library, splash pad, and VBS that we meet all over town :).

Such a great way to burn off energy!

It's a bit sad to me that Michael and Makayla are just starting to get tired of splash pads and playgrounds after 30 minutes or so. It's been so nice having them all enjoy the same things!
 Meeting new friends
Technically, we met the Skeat's at the Balloon Fiesta last fall but it was more a hi and bye type of meet. They happened to be heading through near our area so we zoomed up to their campground to connect again. We shared dinner and great conversation until the bugs nearly ate us alive and the stars were shining. As the sun was setting, there was huge amount of cotton from trees floating around and sparkling in the sunlight. I felt like I was in a fairy land! The children collected as much as they could.

Our trucks almost matched :)

A rainbow over the beautiful green hills.
 Independence Day celebrations
Eldon had to work but the rest of us headed out to the fairgrounds to check out how a small town celebrates. We were not disappointed! Live music and tournaments of volley-ball, Corneille, and horseshoes were being played. There was good trucks and 5 bouncy houses/water slide things there. I'm sure you'll be shocked to find out that we were stuck at the inflatable fun for over 2 hours :).

This face painting was actually done at VBS but I thought it fit here as good as anywhere.

Michael bouncing down the big slide.

Ethan and Emily loved the slip and slide. He was having a fit because his wet shirt made him cold so we just took it off. I wasn't smart enough to bring swimsuits like most other parents did!

Makayla loved this obstacle course.

And of course Ethan had to keep right up with her!

I took this while we were waiting for fireworks to start. We've got some holes to fill in!

Still waiting on fireworks!

Her doll (Katelyn) wanted to watch to but was sooo scared of the noise :)

Drone pictures!

They didn't turn out the best but it was fun to take them!

Then Michael turn 7......

And since I was having a birthday too, he insisted on taking a picture of me too! I'm 32, by the way :).
