Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Florida

South Florida is full of people, houses, roads, and more people. It could get genuinely irritating at times but we try to remember that we chose to come here even though we knew it was crazy. In spite of all the city, someone has done a great job of carving out small areas of nature for us to enjoy. One of these is only a few miles from us, Wakodahatchee Wetlands. One morning we spent a few hours wandering around the trail.s

One of the many birds we saw.

These guys were sunning themselves.

It's hard to see but this floating island was loaded with birds and iguanas.

Another bird enjoying the morning sun.

Much of this hike was on boardwalks.

Watching a Marsh Hen.

There is a Grebe in this picture. Watching them zip around underwater was so cool.
Experiencing a new part of God's world is so amazing. We are just loving all the different plants, animals, and birds we've been able to see. We also saw 4 big alligators here!
