A few weeks ago the children all wanted to write a story. Makayla got the brilliant idea to have Ethan dictate to her and it turned out pretty good!
The Mean Wolf
One day a wolf smelled a good smell. He smelled Daisy [Grandpa and Grandma's Jack Russell dog] and he wanted to eat her. One night when Daisy was asleep the wolf crept up to her. He was hungry. Daisy felt the wolf's claws and woke up. Daisy barked for help. Soon the lights came on in the house. Grandpa grabbed his gun. He put his boots on and ran out to the dog kennel. He shot the wolf in one try. The wolf had bitten Daisy. In the morning he put a band-aid on Daisy. They also ate the wolf. And Grandma gave the bones to Daisy. And after that, Daisy always slept with Grandpa. (But Grandma didn't like it that much.)
